This week started off in a hue of blue. It felt like some bug was going around this weekend to make life as miserable as possible. All over. Like when the stomach virus or the flu breaks out and every second person falls victim to that.
This is how it feels to me. It feels like the Superglue that is supposed to keep me together, was secretly swopped with Pritt. And now I become unglued. In all areas of my life, chaos has erupted. Not big sputtering volcanoes, but smaller ones. That erupts every thirty minutes. Every single area in my life has experienced some stormy weather sometime over the past 48 hours. I look at my phone. The WhatsApp’s makes me cringe. The posts on Facebook make me nauseous. To see how one person misleads a group of trusting people to swindle them out of their money. Yes, in one of my Facebook groups. Television programmes was under attack. It seems to me that the whole world is going crazy. And in the midst of it, I try to keep my nose above the water. To survive.
Then I read the following this morning. It is written by Steve Strang, editor of Charisma magazine:
Did you know that one DNA molecule in your body has enough coded information to fill 100 30-volume sets of encyclopaedias? That's more than 2.25 million pages of computer code! If the entire DNA in your body were joined from end to end, it would stretch 94 billion miles. And that code is different from any other person who has ever lived.
We know our fingerprints are unique from everyone else. Now, researchers have discovered that scanning the iris of the eye is five times more effective than fingerprinting because there are 240 unique features in your iris to prove it's yours! Scientists are also discovering the same uniqueness in our retinas, our faces, our insulin and the protein molecules in one strand of our hair.
David wrote: "I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well" (Psalm 139:14, NASB)
And suddenly, I can breathe. My body comes out of the water. Piece by piece. For the One who has made me fearfully and wonderfully, was not in the least surprised or shocked about any of these events. He still has everything under control.
I can feel how He glues me back together, with Superglue!
